We need your immediate help to stop the proposed Alpenglow Sawmill and Glu-Lam Factory! The Nevada County Planning Commission may use "Special Findings" to bypass critical development requirements to approve this project. Section 12.05.052 "Development Permit" (p. 771) of the Nevada County Code outlines the County’s own requirements for the proposed Sawmill & Glu-Lam Factory. 

This would be a disaster for our community.

The Traffic Impact Analysis (TIA) submitted to support this project is deeply flawed, and we must ensure our voices are heard before it's too late.

Following up on our previous email, we want to highlight more reasons why the proposed Alpenglow Sawmill and Glu-Lam Factory is not suitable for our community. 

The Nevada County Planning Commission can make "Special Findings" to approve development projects that don't meet the County's own requirements. These "Special Findings" undermine the regulations set forth in the County Code, updated and reaffirmed by the Board of Supervisors in April 2024.

It all begins with an idea.

Our group has several critical objectives we urge the Nevada County Planning Commission (PC) and Board of Supervisors to consider:

Deny Approval of the Sawmill Project: Reject the Conditional Use Permit (CUP) and Mitigated Negative Declaration (MND).

Deny Approval of the Glu-Lam Factory.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
